Updates on routine and optional immunisation programmes
Why it is important to follow the immunisation schedule and attend scheduled appointments.
Immunisation is one of the most important preventive measures for protecting children's health. Routine vaccination follows the current schedule and recommendations of the relevant health authorities.
Parents are asked to keep track of appointments, bring their child's medical records and tell the paediatrician about any previous reactions or current symptoms.
Optional vaccines and additional recommendations are considered individually, taking account of the child's age, health and risks in their environment.
Note: this information does not replace an examination by a paediatrician when a child has significant symptoms or their general condition is deteriorating.
